DESCRIPTION:Unfortunately\, the planned trivia day has been cancelled…BUT… \nThere are two great options for the long weekend. Both are part of the Morris Car Club jamboree. \nYou have a choice of two places to stay… \nStanhope\, near Shepparton \nor \nMarlo\, in Gippsland. \nMarlo: \n \nAt Marlo\, it will be warmer overnight\, with a lovely organised camp\, but because it is at an organised camp\, there is a price. The park is clean and there are lots of activities around the area\, including a treasure hunt on the Sunday. To find out more about the park\, go to this link:\nhttp://marlocamping.com.au/index.php \nThere you can find out about facilities and costs. \nMarlo on the map: \n \nStanhope: \n \n  \nFrom Stanhope\, you can enjoy evening campfires\, visit the Shepparton festival of steam and many long weekend activities. Activities and outings are independant but there is lots to see. The club would like a financial contribution to pay for water and a portaloo. \n  \n  \nStanhope on the map: \n \nJust one thing: \nBecause these are both organised events\, we need to know numbers by the beginning of May so that bookings can be made.

DESCRIPTION:A workout for you and your classic \n \nThe May outing will take us to a few places which will involve a good workout for your classic and some walking for you. We will start the day heading for Mt Macedon via Sunbury and Riddells Creek. Once we have driven up Mt Macedon our first stop will be the Camels Hump\, which is a very scenic walk so bring your walking shoes. The walk is all uphill but worth the effort\, and we can take our time so it shouldn’t pose any problem. After we have taken in the great view from the top we will then drive to the tea rooms near the Memorial Cross for a well-earned cup of tea or coffee\, and then another walk to the Cross which is relatively flat. After that\, back into the car and a mostly downhill run to our final destination-Paramoor Winery at 439 Three Chain Road\,  Carlruhe – for a well-deserved lunch. As I will need to make a booking for lunch please let me know if you will be coming on this outing. DESCRIPTION:Morris Car Club Raffle Update \nThe Club still has a number of tickets to sell in the raffle for the Morris Major. We had hoped to have sold more tickets at Motorclassica than we did. Ticket sales have remained steady but have fallen short of what we would want.  \nThe draw date will now be 30 November at the Club’s Christmas function. The draw will be recorded and uploaded to the web site if possible. The draw will be conducted by people that have not purchased a ticket. \nI would like to thank you in advance for your support with the raffle and to assure you that November 30 will be the cut off regardless.  \nThe Federation has graciously allowed us to sell raffle tickets at the Bendigo Swap Meeting on 16 November. DESCRIPTION:Saturday 4th May is the Brett Tooke memorial drive to Bonnie Doon. \nPre-meet at 10am at 239-241 Maroondah Highway for a 10:30am departure\, Chirnside Park\, Vic\, 3116 (Noodle Box)\, and a 1:30pm drive to Bonnie Doon Pub for lunch. 1738 Maroondah Highway\, Bonnie Doon. \nWe are having this memorial drive and lunch at the pub to honour Brett’s memory. \nThis is a joint event for Motafrenz and the Morris Car Club. Brett had a lot to do with both these clubs and is remembered fondly for his contributions and outstanding character. \nThis is a lovely drive and we’ll all be able to relax in a lovely pub overlooking the wonderful serenity of the lake. There is plenty of room there. \nPlease let us know if you’re coming so we have a good idea of numbers. Bring your favourite vehicle\, friends and good cheer. \nThis car is suitable for all cars\, but as we all know\, Brett would have liked to see as many classics as possible. We will use the Western Hwy to the Ballan/Daylesford exit\, then more peaceful B roads. SUMMARY:Bungal outing
DESCRIPTION:Bungal outing Saturday 16th March 2019 \nToday we are off To Bungal \nWhere or what is Bungal you might well ask? No\, it’s not a town\, it is a place\, although I suspect it might have been a town a long time ago\, as gold was discovered in 1853 at nearby Mt Egerton. Bungal is only a few kilometres down the road so could well have been a gold mining settlement. Today\, Bungal is open fields and picturesque rolling hills\, situated neatly between Ballan and Geelong.  We will be going to the property of a fellow car collector for a self-catered BBQ. He also has a race track on the property with a lap record\, so if you wish to try and beat the record that is up to you… it’s not compulsory. There is also a great collection of British cars. \nMeeting Point – Rock Bank BP Mc Donald’s  \n9.30 To be on the road by 10am \nDistance – 72 Kilometre’s \nTime – 1hour 10 minutes  \nI might also add that this area is quite hilly. The route chosen is on sealed secondary roads with three reasonable hills\, but with a bit of gearbox use should not pose a problem. DESCRIPTION:Sunday 17th February\, 2019 \nToday we are off to Diamond Valley miniature railway. Today is one for the kids and kids at heart\, so give the classics a rest today and put the children\, grandchildren or great-grandchildren in the modern car and join in the fun. Anybody two to eighty-two will enjoy this place! It is situated in Eltham Park and onsite there are BBQs\, Shetland pony rides\, an adventure playground\, and the miniature railway. And for those wanting a peaceful walk\, yes\, you can have that as well.  \n           \n     \n  \nTrain Rides are $3 a ride per person for a 15 minute ride\, which takes you right around the park. There are many different trains – steam\, diesel\, locomotives\, and passenger electrics -so one ride might not be enough. There is no food onsite to buy so this is definitely self-catered  BBQ or picnic. \nMeeting Time 10.15am.
