DESCRIPTION:An outing to Yarragon.\n  \nYarragon village market is on Saturday 24th September. The Yarragon vintage market\, over the road\, is open almost every day and always weekends. \nThe Village market is a community produce market\, featuring crafts\, arts and food. Such food. \nThis is a trip with a difference and I think one of the few times the club has ventured to the west\, rather than the east. \nMeet at Officer outbound service centre on the Princes freeway at 9:00am\, departing 9:30am. Drive takes a bit over an hour and will be via country roads\, through numerous small towns along the way. Take some notice because there will be a quiz. Arrival time will be between 10:30 and 11am\, so that gives people some time to browse the market. \nLunch will be at the Yarragon Hotel\, an excellent place for a meal with a very nice beer garden\, should the weather be suitable for outside dining. \n  \nAfter lunch\, cross the railway line and head to the Yarragon Vintage Market. This is a big bric-a-brac market with goods to suit almost any taste\, from old car memorabilia to games and everything in between. \nIf you wish to stay Saturday night before heading back home the next day\, there is a choice of motels and hotels at Yarragon and the local area. DESCRIPTION:Sunday 8th May Outing 2022 \nA workout for you and your classic \n \nThe May outing will take us to a few places which will involve a good workout for your classic and some walking for you. We will start the day heading for Mt Macedon via Sunbury and Riddells Creek. Once we have driven up Mt Macedon our first stop will be the Camels Hump\, which is a very scenic walk so bring your walking shoes. The walk is all uphill but worth the effort\, and we can take our time so it shouldn’t pose any problem. After we have taken in the great view from the top we will then drive to the tea rooms near the Memorial Cross for a well-earned cup of tea or coffee\, and then another walk to the Cross which is relatively flat. After that\, back into the car and a mostly downhill run to our final destination Gisborne Peak Winery 69 short road Gisborne – for a well-deserved lunch. As I will need to make a booking for lunch please let me know if you will be coming on this outing. SUMMARY:Weekend Away to Apollo Bay 2021\, February
DESCRIPTION:The trip to Apollo Bay: \nWe will meet at the Laverton McDonalds just off the freeway at 08.30am\, 27th February. After a coffee we will leave at 09.00 sharp.  We won’t leave before time\, but will leave without you if we don’t know you are running late. \nWe head for Winchelsea which is our first coffee break and a stretch of our legs. Once we leave Winchelsea we drive to Forrest our second stop\, more coffee or a walk\, it’s up to you. \nAfter leaving Forrest\, next stop is our destination\, Apollo Bay\, where we will check into our accommodation and have some free time. We will meet up again around 6pm for dinner… pub\, restaurant or café\, we can decide on the day. \n \nThe trip home: \nWe will start the day with a relaxed breakfast at one of the cafés  and be on our way by 11.00. We will follow the Great Ocean Road back to Lorne our first stop\, walk around town\, coffee if we need it. After leaving Lorne we continue along the Great Ocean Road to Anglesea\, our second and last stop. After we leave Anglesea we head for Geelong and home. \n

Both are part of the Morris Car Club jamboree. \nYou have a choice of two places to stay… \nStanhope\, near Shepparton \nor \nMarlo\, in Gippsland. \nMarlo: \n \nAt Marlo\, it will be warmer overnight\, with a lovely organised camp\, but because it is at an organised camp\, there is a price. The park is clean and there are lots of activities around the area\, including a treasure hunt on the Sunday. To find out more about the park\, go to this link:\nhttp://marlocamping.com.au/index.php \nThere you can find out about facilities and costs. \nMarlo on the map: \n \nStanhope: \n \n  \nFrom Stanhope\, you can enjoy evening campfires\, visit the Shepparton festival of steam and many long weekend activities. DESCRIPTION:A workout for you and your classic \n \nThe May outing will take us to a few places which will involve a good workout for your classic and some walking for you. We will start the day heading for Mt Macedon via Sunbury and Riddells Creek. Once we have driven up Mt Macedon our first stop will be the Camels Hump\, which is a very scenic walk so bring your walking shoes. The walk is all uphill but worth the effort\, and we can take our time so it shouldn’t pose any problem. After we have taken in the great view from the top we will then drive to the tea rooms near the Memorial Cross for a well-earned cup of tea or coffee\, and then another walk to the Cross which is relatively flat. After that\, back into the car and a mostly downhill run to our final destination-Paramoor Winery at 439 Three Chain Road\,  Carlruhe – for a well-deserved lunch. As I will need to make a booking for lunch please let me know if you will be coming on this outing.
