DESCRIPTION:Joint event in the eastern Suburbs in June \nA message from Tim Christie\, president. \nA joint event has been arranged between Morris & Rootes car clubs. It is a visit to the Eastern suburbs. We will be visiting several places of interest and engaging all members from clubs. Please feel free to bring a friend. \nThe event is on Saturday 24th June at 9:45am at Bill’s shed\, Burgess Road\, Bayswater. \nFirstly\, we will be visiting Bill’s collection of Rootes vehicles and memorabilia. He has 19 vehicles. We will be given an overview of his love for Rootes vehicles and receive a cuppa and some home-made cake. \n \nThe Morris car club will provide morning tea. A Peter MacAllum foundation cancer support tin will be on the table and a gold coin donation would be appreciated. Federation of Veteran vintage & classic vehicle clubs is supporting the 2023 collection. \nLunch is at Bayswater hotel at midday\, not far from the Bayswater railway station. \nAfter lunch we will visit the Ambulance Victoria Museum. They will open their museum at 1:45pm. The cost for each participant will be $10.00 and will include afternoon tea and cake. DESCRIPTION:An outing to Yarragon.\n  \nYarragon village market is on Saturday 24th September. The Yarragon vintage market\, over the road\, is open almost every day and always weekends. \nThe Village market is a community produce market\, featuring crafts\, arts and food. Such food. \nThis is a trip with a difference and I think one of the few times the club has ventured to the west\, rather than the east. \nMeet at Officer outbound service centre on the Princes freeway at 9:00am\, departing 9:30am. Drive takes a bit over an hour and will be via country roads\, through numerous small towns along the way. Take some notice because there will be a quiz. Arrival time will be between 10:30 and 11am\, so that gives people some time to browse the market. \nLunch will be at the Yarragon Hotel\, an excellent place for a meal with a very nice beer garden\, should the weather be suitable for outside dining. \n  \nAfter lunch\, cross the railway line and head to the Yarragon Vintage Market. This is a big bric-a-brac market with goods to suit almost any taste\, from old car memorabilia to games and everything in between. \nIf you wish to stay Saturday night before heading back home the next day\, there is a choice of motels and hotels at Yarragon and the local area. DESCRIPTION:Sunday 8th May Outing 2022 \nA workout for you and your classic \n \nThe May outing will take us to a few places which will involve a good workout for your classic and some walking for you. We will start the day heading for Mt Macedon via Sunbury and Riddells Creek. Once we have driven up Mt Macedon our first stop will be the Camels Hump\, which is a very scenic walk so bring your walking shoes. The walk is all uphill but worth the effort\, and we can take our time so it shouldn’t pose any problem. After we have taken in the great view from the top we will then drive to the tea rooms near the Memorial Cross for a well-earned cup of tea or coffee\, and then another walk to the Cross which is relatively flat. After that\, back into the car and a mostly downhill run to our final destination Gisborne Peak Winery 69 short road Gisborne – for a well-deserved lunch. As I will need to make a booking for lunch please let me know if you will be coming on this outing. DESCRIPTION:A workout for you and your classic \n \nThe August outing will take us to a few places which will involve a good workout for your classic and some walking for you. We will start the day heading for Mt Macedon via Sunbury and Riddells Creek. \n \nOnce we have driven up Mt Macedon our first stop will be the Camels Hump\, which is a very scenic walk so bring your walking shoes. The walk is all uphill but worth the effort\, and we can take our time so it shouldn’t pose any problem. After we have taken in the great view from the top we will then drive to the tea rooms near the Memorial Cross for a well-earned cup of tea or coffee\, and then another walk to the Cross which is relatively flat. \n        \nAfter that\, back into the car and a mostly downhill run to our final destination-Paramoor Winery at 439 Three Chain Road\,  Carlruhe – for a well-deserved lunch. As I will need to make a booking for lunch please let me know if you will be coming on this outing. DESCRIPTION:Car clubs across Australia will be out in force for the annual Motoring Heritage Day.
